High-Quality Child Care Reimagined

At Over the Rainbow, we offer two high-quality childcare centers that serve families in Philadelphia, PA, Maple Shade, NJ, and the surrounding areas. We are committed to filling each day with new and exciting learning experiences, and we are committed to providing a whole-child educational approach. Our goal is to nurture a child's natural curiosity, and to foster their academic, social, emotional, and physical development. The teachers here aim to challenge the children to discover all the exciting new opportunities available in their world, both inside and outside our schools. We invite you to tour our facilities, and see the future of high-quality childcare in action!

Our Core Values

Over the Rainbow emphasizes whole-child learning through our enhanced knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, educational curricula, and high-quality environmental rating scales. Our curriculum's foundation aligns with our core values of social-emotional learning, gross motor development, cognitive stimulation, and concrete language construction.

Social-Emotional Learning

Our classrooms emphasize continued social and emotional learning to promote the development of healthy relationships throughout early childhood. This process begins at birth and continues as we age to assist with our ability to garner independence, self-confidence, and self-control throughout all of the appropropriate developmental milestones.

Gross Motor Development

Our classrooms work to develop each child's large and small motor skills through music and movement, and special learning activities, such as dance and karate classes. Gross motor development allows for body awareness, balance, and coordination, which facilitates the development of independence and confidence.

Cognitive Stimulation

Our classrooms prioritize the development of concrete cognitive stimulation, allowing for the development of high-level, individual thinking skills. Children learn how to solve problems through the development of static and dynamic operations and are encouraged to always ask questions to work on both concrete and abstract thinking.

Concrete Language Construction

Our classroms encourage language through the use of engaged, intentional teaching. As children grow in our program, they will be encouraged to make observations and immerse themselves in concrete and abstract opportunities. Together, our staff and students develop appropriate conversation skills, so they can listen to their peers and express their own thoughts.
